Heroes, super or otherwise

So on Cher’s suggestion we trooped off to the deep dark recesses of Suntec and caught The Spirit. I think I was there for two things — Frank Miller and Samuel L Jackson. It turns out Samuel L Jackson was acting all crazy, and Frank Miller was totally batshit loco. Don’t go in there expecting Sin City. If you haven’t watched Sin City, rent it and forget about The Spirit. If you have watched Sin City, maybe you could watch, like, Bolt, in 3D, instead of this tedious, campy piece of crap. It got a little better when I decided to just have a laugh and take it on the same level as Snakes on a Plane, but meh.

Me and Russ watched Cicakman. It was exactly the lame low-budget comedy superhero movie I expected. I had fun.

Pride and Glory’s pretty decent if you like dreary cop family dramas about honour and loyalty and duty and pride and glory. It was probably a bit touching too but we were busy eating ROAST DUCK PIZZA yes we brought a whole pizza box in. At Timbre the bartender requested our IDs and asked another guy if ‘88 was ok. Duuuuude.
