appreciation: gratitude, understanding, and the rise in value of

Singapore Blog Awards nomination

I’m pretty proud of what I’ve set up here, of course. It’s a challenge keeping things simple — I’ve nearly fallen prey to displaying my old collection of buttons twice now, and there’s the continual temptation to revert to the old crazy link everything I see mode. Even with a tumblelog that I update more frequently than I eat or use the toilet combined. I haven’t even gotten around to adding comments to my Loop, and I’m going to have to figure out a set of rules for floating images of various sizes soon if and when I get a negative scanner.

So it’s a pleasant surprise, but when the registration process requires “URLs of your 3 best entries”, that kinda changes things. This is like if you had to choose your three favourite socket joints. It doesn’t work that way — unless, of course, each entry is another narcissistic flame, each nescient moth drawn in another advertising dollar. The analogy sounded better in my head.

I guess I’m saying thanks for reading, anyway. It’s always nice knowing someone out there wasted a part of their day on this frivolous hobby of mine.
